Our Alkali Resistant (AR) Glass Fibre Scrim Mesh provides additional reinforcement for GFRC, helping increase strength and control cracking in larger or more highly stressed components.
The 10mm × 10mm open weave allows the GFRC mix to pass through the mesh, embedding it within the cement matrix rather than creating a separation between layers. The result is strong, continuous reinforcement without adding significant weight or thickness.
Made from alkali-resistant glass fibre, the mesh is specifically suited to cement-based materials and is ideal for reinforcing areas where additional tensile strength is required.
Use it to reinforce GFRC benchtops, vanity tops, furniture, panels, large castings and other thin-section concrete products. It can also be cut into strips and placed around edges, openings, joins and other areas requiring localised reinforcement.
For best results, fully embed the mesh within the GFRC rather than positioning it directly against the finished surface.
